Tomorrow will be the first Early Dismissal Day of the new school year! On our Early Dismissal Days, all students leave class at 1:30 PM. This allows about 90 minutes to provide additional training for our staff members.
It is important that all of our Dolphins know how they will be getting home on Early Dismissal (ED) days. The buses run their regular schedules but sometimes parents or care givers are not home, so schedules change. Our car rider dismissal starts at 1:30 PM. Those students enrolled in Extended Day will go to their Extended Day rooms at dismissal. Walkers will be dismissed at about 1:45 to walk home.
Another thing that changes on ED days is that we do not call in to classrooms after 1:00 PM. This is so that our teachers can have the last 30 minutes of the day to wrap up instruction and prepare students to leave for the day. We will have a slightly different lunch schedule on ED days, too so we can finish in the cafeteria on time.
We have been talking about Early Dismissal for a week, so things should go smoothly. We have 5 topics to discuss during training, s we need the time.
Thank you for your cooperation!
